Please see the note below from Scott Huettel:
Dear Duke Neuroimager,
My laboratory, in collaboration with Dr. Chris Rorden at the University of South Carolina, is carrying out an experiment to validate a recently developed technique for brain segmentation. For the experiment to provide an accurate assessment of the viability of this new technique, it needs participation by individuals who have experience working with structural MRI images.
We would appreciate your participation in a simple computer-based task. You will be shown a series of paired MRI images, and you will simply indicate which image in the pair has the more correct segmentation. The task would take approximately 60-90 minutes, can be completed at a time of your convenience, and pays $15/hour for your time.
If this algorithm indeed provides a better approach to segmentation, we will make it freely available to all members of the Duke community. Thus, your assistance will help provide a new resource that can benefit your research and that of your local colleagues.
If you are available and willing to participate please contact David Smith ( david.v.smith@duke.edu ) and we'll get you started.
Thank you for your time,
Scott Huettel (Pro00035293) |
